My Kitchen Isn't the Only Paleo Haven

The other day, I stopped at a restaurant.  I won't say which one.  It was Friday night and you're always in a laid back mood.

As the weekend begins, you want to relax, hang out with friends, or just enjoy the quiet because the work day is over.

But not every restaurant is tuned into the low carb/paleo life style.  I saw the sign for the seafood specials but I wasn't interested in breaded and deep fried.  I could have ordered a salad, but I didn't want to pay money for something skimpy.

Yeah, I'm picky.  I decided to go home and bake.  I tried out my new  Pampered Chef brownie pan.  I made a brownie recipe from Paleo Leap.  The photo below is from the Paleo Leap website.  I didn't take a photo of my own baking, so give the credit to Sebastian Noel.  Here is the recipe for Flourless Brownies.

I settled down to dinner eating a some leftover pork florentine that my husband had made the night before.  It was a great dinner because it was already made. 😃

So my quiet Friday night turned out peaceful and creative.  I really didn't feel the desire to eat something out that would have given me the burps and bloats.

It is usually the #1 choice to stay home. Homemade food that I make without grains, sugars, and seed oils is enjoyable, but I don't always want to feel like a recluse.

I have my favorite eating spots, (besides Wegmans for a grocery run) and I'll fill you in on them later.  So, if you and I can help make the Auburn community a Paleo haven, more folks will also benefit. I'd love to see Auburn more Paleo friendly.  It's not a bad thing.  But to see Auburn evolve will be wonderful.
